Serving the Hungry Community

Every Thursday morning at 8:30 Christ Lutheran Church opens a food pantry for anyone that comes to our door. Our weekly food pantry on Thursday mornings has, for several decades, provided free food and a sense of community to those "on the edge".  Our clients at the pantry are largely regulars who know us and one another and take time to sit down, stay awhile, and have a cup of coffee.  In many cases, the pantry provides their principal social interaction during the week.  We provide bags of staples for each person, and fresh meat and fresh produce are set out for clients to choose from.  

Now, with support from Open Arms Santa Fe, the non-profit 501-C at Christ Lutheran Church (openarmssantafe.org),  the food pantry has been expanded to include a monthly evening drive-through with the help of residents at the Arroyo Chamiso Micro-Community on our campus.
